CES Technology Competition for Schools - 2009 Winners

 

The pupils of the schools, in the group photograph above, are from:-

with  Simon Burns MP and Cllr. Tony Sach, Mayor of Chelmsford (third row ).

In the back row are our new Chairman of the Competition, Roy Hilsley (left), and Chairman of the Judges, David Farrar. 

 

The display of winning entries and prize giving took place in the Ashcroft Building of the Anglia Ruskin University  on Saturday 18th July 2009.

Members, teachers and pupils had a rewarding attendance, with Mayor of Chelmsford, presenting their Prizes.   Prof. Paul Ingle our President opened the meeting after the display and we were delighted to have Simon Burns, MP present.

30 pupils received W. H. Smiths’ Vouchers to the value of £1930. The winning schools received the trophies to hold for one year and a total of £500 to help their technology departments’ equipment. The Mayor then handed on the President's Chain of Office from Prof. Paul Ingle to Vic Leverett, who gave a short talk praising the various projects for their ingenuity
