The CES promotes the advancement of public education in general engineering topics.Events
- A series of talks and visits throughout the year on general engineering topics, including events with professional institutions. Light refreshments are usually available. Non-members are welcome at the talks and £1 donation to cover costs is then appreciated.
- Engineering Design and Technology Competition for local Schools. Click for 2009 pictures
- Funding of a Scholarship through the Arkwright Scholarships Trust for A level pupil.
- Undergraduate Award for the best engineering student at Anglia Ruskin University.
- Annual Dinner.
Membership
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in engineering. Please contact the Membership Secretary if you would like to join the Society . The annual subscription is currently £8 .Registered charity no. 291637
